~ It has been announced that Next Exciting Wrestling will cease to hold shows now after only 3 months of active shows.

This is all due to the on-going disputes and issues between Antonio Inoki and Simon Inoki. Which has lead to Simon and many others from the management team to quit IGF. Which this leaves NEW, which is owned by IGF, without proper management. The remaining IGF office stated that there is no obligation to take over NEW and all activities from them are now suspended.

Problems have arisen ever since the promotion started. With them becoming ever more apparent after Shinichi Suzukawa initially jumped back to IGF/ISM a month ago, leaving NEW without their top booked talent from day one.

Currently there is no word on what will come for the remaining talent from Keisuke Okuda, Akira Joh, Mitsuyoshi Nakai, and even Shinya Aoki who has been competing for the promotion. Simon Inoki lives in Shanghai and was running his own dojo there with KENSO as the head trainer with three rookies who started their career this year. Though no word as of yet on what will become of the talent who were signed under the group or if Simon has plans to bring something new in.

~ Hiroshi Hase made a successful return to the ring after retiring from competition 11 years ago. The 56 year old received a strong reaction from those in attendance as he went on to showcase his trademark moves of a giant swing and northern lights suplex. Hase mentioned that he received the initial offer to return back in February of this year and began training in preparation for this day. He also did not deny the offer of competing again in the future, but that he is focused on being the Minister of Education and the “battle” that takes place on the political field.

~ Though Hiroshi Hase will be hosting his own show on October 1 in Ishikawa. The show will be known as “PRO-WRESTLING LEGACY 2017 IN Kanazawa” which will be in part of the DSG GROUP’s 45th anniversary.

About BushidoRX

I have been following Japanese Pro Wrestling for 20 years now and I have also been doing some form of covering it either in news or results for nearly 15 years as well. I got my start in promotions like AJPW, NJPW, FMW and Michinoku Pro. With All Japan being my go to promotion till this very day. Throughout the years I have followed All Japan more closely than any of the others out there, and thus I have taken it upon myself to keep people informed with what is happening all throughout sport in Japan. If it does not appear on the news feed I either do not follow it closely enough to relate the information or it just not my go to promotion in general. Follow Puroresu Spirit, which is my personal site, as I do my best to keep you all informed with what is happening in the land of the rising sun.
