(1) Takao Omori, Masanobu Fuchi, Ryoji Sai (LAND’S END) & Ayato Yoshida vs. Yohei Nakajima, Koji Iwamoto, Keisuke Okada & Fuminori Abe (Sportiva)
Winner: Fuchi (6:39) with a Small Package Hold on Keisuke.
(2) BANG! TV World Heavyweight Championship Match: [3rd Champion] Osamu Nishimura (freelance) vs. [Challenger] Rikiya Fudo (LAND’S END)
Winner: Nishimura (5:40) with a Ground Cobra Twist.
~ 2nd successful title defense.

(3) Joe Doering & Atsushi Aoki vs. Naoya Nomura & Yuma Aoyagi
Winner: Doering (4:38) with the Revolution Bomb on Nomura.
(4) Jun Akiyama, Ultimo Dragon (Toryumon MEXICO) & Atsushi Maruyama (freelance) vs. TAJIRI, Yutaka Yoshie & Minoru Tanaka (all freelance)
Winner: TAJIRI (10:12) following a Buzzsaw Kick on Maruyama.
~ TAJIRI made it known that he does aim for a match for the GAORA TV belt, which is held by Akiyama. As this also hints at him continuing to compete for the promotion in the future.


~ It was formally announced that Yuma Aoyagi will get his rematch against Taichi at the Ryogoku Kokugikan show on August 27.
~ New Japan’s Tomoyuki Oka and Katsuya Kitamura will be competing against the team of Jun Akiyama and Takao Omori on July 5 at the Shinkiba 1stRING.

AJPW Event Cards for July & August 2017

Before anyone goes on to say that the two promotions are completely open, that isn’t the whole case at this time. It is both of the 45th anniversaries and something is rumored to be in the works to celebrate Jun Akiyama, Manabu Nakanishi, Jun Akiyama, and Takao Omori’s 25th anniversaries as pro-wrestlers.


(5) World Tag Championship Match: [74th Champions] Kengo Mashimo (K-DOJO) & KAI (freelance) vs. [Challengers] Zeus & The Bodyguard (freelance)
Winner: Zeus (11:08) with a Jackhammer on KAI.
~ Champions fall on their 1st title defense. Big Guns become the 75th champions.
~ Though in loss, Mashimo finally shook KAI’s hand as he helped his fallen partner to the back.

(6) Special Single Match: Suwama vs. Kento Miyahara
Winner: Suwama (14:45) with a Backdrop Hold.
~ Suwama finally overcomes Miyahara, in singles competition, as he stated that his goal is to reclaim the Triple Crown belt.

(7) Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship Match: [56th Champion] Shuji Ishikawa (freelance) vs. [Challenger] Jake Lee
Winner: Ishikawa (16:53) following the Giant Slam.
~ 1st successful title defense.
~ Suwama stepped forward as the next challenger for Ishikawa.
