MARCH 2016

[3/2] DRAGON GATE – “brother YASSHI” competed in the DG ring for the first time in 11 years.
[3/3] NJPW – Katsuyori Shibata officially re-joined New Japan. Michael Elgin also signed a 2 years contract.
[3/3] NJPW – The “New Japan Cup” began in Ota, Japan. Bad Luck Fale defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event. Will Ospreay announced that he would become a member of CHAOS.
[3/4] Misc – Hayabusa passed away at the age of 47.
[3/5] FMW – Atsushi Onita held a press conference to discuss the shocking passing of his late friend Hayabusa.
[3/6] BJW – The Ikkitosen League began at the Korakuen Hall. Yuji Okabayashi bested the World Strong Champion Shuji Ishikawa in the main event.
[3/6] ZERO1 – The promotion’s 15th anniversary was held at the Korakuen Hall. Shinjiro Otani and Masato Tanaka reformed their team of the past to take on Kohei Sato and Daisuke Sekimoto.
[3/10] NOAH – Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste held their final match in NOAH as they announced they were WWE bound.
[3/12] AJPW – Isami Kodaka and Yuko Miyamoto defeated Takao Omori and Kazuhiro Tamura to make their 3rd successful defense of the Asia Tag belts.
[3/12] NJPW – The finals of the “New Japan Cup” was held in Aomori. Tetuya Naito bested Hirooki Goto in the final match to win the tournament. Tama Tonga formally announced that he will be bringing his brother in to hunt for the IWGP Tag belts.
[3/13] WRESTLE-1 – Yuji Hino defended the W-1 belt against Shuji Kondo. Kotaro Suzuki also defeated Hiroshi Yamato to capture the Cruiser belt.
[3/17] TAKA & Taichi – Held their special brand of self-produced show at the Shinjuku FACE.
[3/19] NOAH – Takashi Sugiura defended the GHC Heavy belt against Katsuhiko Nakajima. “K.E.S.” made their 7th defense of the GHC Tag belts. Kanemaru made his first defense of the Junior belt in a rematch against Ishimori. Kenoh and Ohara defeated Harada and Kotoge to become the new GHC Jr. Tag champs.
[3/21] AJPW – Kento Miyahara made his first defense of the Triple Crown belt against Takao Omori in Okinawa. Atsushi Aoki defended the World Junior belt against the Australia/Okinawa based wrestler Dingo.
[3/21] DDT – HARASHIMA defeated Kodaka to become the new KO-D Openweight Champion at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.
[3/24] RJPW – The main event saw Daisuke Sekimoto defend the Legends Championship against Mitsuya Nagai at the Korakuen Hall.
[3/27] Suzuki-gun – In a show to highlight the SZKG group, Go Shiozaki got an upset over the GHC Champion Takashi Sugiura, as he called out for a shot at the belt.
[3/27] AJPW – Zeus and The Bodyguard defended the World Tag belts against the team of Shuji Ishikawa and Hoshitango.
[3/29] DRADITION – Tatsuji Fujinami and Jun Akiyama competed in their first tag match against one another in their careers.
[3/31] BJW – The “Ikkitosen” continued at the Korakuen Hall, Daichi Hashimoto claimed an upset win over Daisuke Sekimoto.
