AJPW NEWS

Joe Doering has arrived in Japan just days before the Ryogoku show on November 27.

If you may not have heard, Joe was diagnosed with a malignant tumor back in March of this year. This kept him from competing in the “2016 Champion Carnival” which he was initially scheduled to compete. He underwent a successful surgery and began his road to recovery.

Today Joe arrived back in Japan for the first time a little over a year as he greeted his fellow Evolution teammates with smiles and handshakes. Joe is eager for the upcoming big show as he is in full support of his teammates being victorious in their scheduled matches.

As for Joe himself, he appears in good form and very positive regardless of all that he has been going through. He is very happy to be back in Japan and just wants to see All Japan continue to rise to their former glory.

FMW NEWS

Something I sadly overlooked, but joshi wrestler Shark Tsuchiya has been through some rough times as of late.

She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in the Summer of 2015 which this led to the removal of her leg under the right knee. From what I read it appeared she lived with it until she was hospitalized due to a Pancreatic dysfunction in the Summer of 2015. Then in October she was overtaken with gangrene in her lower right leg and it was removed. She was wearing a prosthetic during today’s FMW show. Then this year she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery back in May to remove her right breast. She held her official retirement at yesterday’s FMW show, 11/24, at Korakuen.

FMW results for November 24, 2016

NOAH NEWS

Following the conclusion of the Global League, NOAH will now be heading into two back to back shows on December 2 and 3.

Chairman Masayuki Uchida announced both event cards during a press conference. As both shows will feature potentially the final full showdowns for the NOAH vs Suzuki-gun war. Only one side will remain as champions when it is all said and done and a conclusion will be made for either side. Three title matches were made official as Nakajima will be defending against Suzuki, the newly crowned GHC Tag Champions in Archer and Smith will be taking on Shiozaki and Taniguchi, and then lastly Taichi will be receiving his challenger against Kotoge for the GHC Junior belt.

To break down the GHC Heavy title match it all comes about after Minoru Suzuki emerged victorious after besting Masa Kitamiya in the final of the Global League. Nakajima came out to confront Suzuki as the title match would be eminent. A stipulation though was also agreed upon by the two as the losing man will be forced out of the promotion for good. This means if Nakajima wins that Suzuki will be out of NOAH, or if Suzuki wins Nakajima will be forced out of the promotion himself. Nakajima has declared that he will defend NOAH to his final breath.

Uchida stated that he the December 3 event card has been set early and can change depending on the outcome of the big show before hand. As for the “final war” between the two groups, he knows he has come into office late into the mix, but his earnest intentions is to see NOAH regain their former position as a top level promotion in Japan.

About BushidoRX

I have been following Japanese Pro Wrestling for 20 years now and I have also been doing some form of covering it either in news or results for nearly 15 years as well.

I got my start in promotions like AJPW, NJPW, FMW and Michinoku Pro. With All Japan being my go to promotion till this very day.

Throughout the years I have followed All Japan more closely than any of the others out there, and thus I have taken it upon myself to keep people informed with what is happening all throughout sport in Japan. If it does not appear on the news feed I either do not follow it closely enough to relate the information or it just not my go to promotion in general.

Follow Puroresu Spirit, which is my personal site, as I do my best to keep you all informed with what is happening in the land of the rising sun.
